Heartrate and gender
What was/is your childs bpm, and what is the gender?
At 13 weeks, my baby is at 164 bpm (not finding out gender!)

my sono tech said the two are not related....she said if the HB is high it's because the baby is growing
ETA: my LO's hb is always high, so I am wondering if it is a girl

both my boys had high heart rates during pregnancy. fooled me bc both times i thought it was a girl!

Apparently there is no correlation at all between HR and gender....but my 2 always had high heartbeats.

DS was always around 170.
This time both HB have been around 160. I am only 10 weeks. But we will be finding out their genders as soon as possible!

Here's the chart I posted a few months ago when someone asked this. It's from a research study on exactly this. They concluded that the correlation was indeed merely a wives tale and that heartrate and gender are not related.

My 's HR has always been over 150 and I see the dr a lot so I guess the old wives tale has been correct for me
