How high is TOO high?

The older I get, I can only do a HIGH heel if its chunky or a wedge (like an espadrille or cork sandal in the summer, etc)

When people make fun of women who can't walk in super high heels... I am the girl they're making fun of. I've never quite mastered that skill, so at age 35, I wont put myself through that torture anymore!

I go with medium. Nothing too high and not flat either.

I can do about 4" without a platform. I know the platform *should* help, but it doesn't. I feel so clunky with platforms. I have one or two pairs with platforms and that's only because I thoroughly tested them before buying.

ETA: I still chose "The higher the better" but really anything above 4.5" is ridiculous to me. 5" and 6" heels? Are we kidding?

Flat shoe kinda girl most of the time...always flats to work and whenever I'm running errands.

But to get dressy I'd say probably medium...anywhere around 3-4 inches is what I go for.

I take my life in my hands if I wear heels over 3 inches high.

I am terrible with heels. I only can wear a platform or flats, I don't even try heels anymore

I used to say the higher the better, but I hurt the bottom of my foot and putting on high heels kills me. I go into my closet and shake my head at all the high heels I can't wear anymore. Max I can go now is 2.5-3". I only wear flats to work.

3.5" is perfect for me. I tend to buy between 3-4" heels. I think when you go over 4.5" they start looking ridiculous

My feet kill me in 1/2 inch kitten heels. Flats allll the way for me!

I am super jealous of anyone who can wear heels and not look like a baby calf trying to walk for the first time.

anything over 4 is ridiculous!!!!! most people look like flamingos when they walk in super high heels.

I won't go above a 4 inch heel. Anything higher than that makes me feel like a giant . Generally, I try to stick to a 2-3 inch heel. If you're wearing a 5 inch heel or higher...I'm going to assume you paid for them in singles

I am tall and I used to only wear lower heels becuase of it.
But in the past few years I have started to LOVE my height and I will rock heels 3 to 3.5 inches. That is usually my limit because that puts me at 6 feet tall.
Also, heels higher than that are SUPER uncomfy rather than just uncomfy!
I don't like how I look in low heels anymore and I absolutely will NEVER ever wear a flat. I tried, I did, but it was frump city.

I'm a flat-medium girl but it's only because I'm really tall. If I was shorter I'd definitely go higher.

I personally think anything higher than 5" looks pole - dancer ish ......I don't care if the label is YSL or CL and they cost $1500 - they're trashy.

I wasn in Penn late a few weekend ago, waiting for a 3 am train, the number of 15/16 year old girls shuffling through in 6" heels was laughable

My HUGEST pet peeve, is women who can't walk in their heels, and I haven't witnessed many who can navigate in anything higher than 5" - and then you just look like you're playing dress up in your Mommy's closet.

I go up to 5" ........but IMO you have to be wearing a GOOD, classic shoe to pull off that high of a heel w/o looking ridiculous, and you have to be able to walk in them like a normal person

I am 5'7" and I have long legs so I don't feel like I need heels, I almost always wear flats or small heels with the exception of a wedding or special occasion bc heels make me feel "dressed up" lol

It's really the style of the shoe. Some platform stilettos look pornish even though they are 4".
I think the low heel can make you look kinda frumpy.
I need a high heel, I'd say most of my heels are around 4"

ah yes, I cannot for the life of me wear heels. I just cannot walk in them. I'm in sneakers all the time and dressed up means flats. ....

4" is my limit. And i love hidden platform makes it a biy easier to walk. But most if my shoes are 3-3.5 really.
Though now that im older and have a baby i barely wear heels. I dont go out as often and its only for special events. Im not a heels during the week to go shopping kind of girl. Im more a casual person and the less i wear them the more foreign they feel when i do lol s

Either flats or high(er) heels, but nothing above 4".

I used to only wear heels and I loved it, but since having my DD I mostly wear flats for comfort and safety. I miss heels.
