Hello ladies. I am getting ready for TTC #2 and have a few questions
Hi, I am a regular poster in hiding and DH and I am getting ready to try for baby #2 in January. But I figured I might stop hanging out here for a while to refresh myself and answer some of my silly questions. I am going to stay in hiding for a while because I don’t want many people to know we are TTC. So if for some reason you end up figuring out who I am just FM, please don’t out me. = ) Anyway I have 1 child now we recently turned 2 and Dh and I are ready to jump back in and try, but I am somewhat scared to try for baby#2, and I have no idea why. I wasn’t scared at all with trying for baby #1. Did anyone else feel this way? Also if anyone was on anxiety meds, did you stop taking them or are you still taking them. I have a appt with my OB for my pap next month so ill ask her too, to see what she says.

Re: Hello ladies. I am getting ready for TTC #2 and have a few questions
We're about to start trying for #2 and I am very nervous! I know it's b/c of our finances and the worries/stress of taking care of 2 children. I've always heard people say "how can I love another just as much" and I always thought that was crazy but now I am actually thinking it! I think my DS is an awesome kid and I can't imagine having another that's just as amazing. But I know that as a parent you do end up having enough love to go around! There's are so many other things I've thought but I'm on my out from work!
Sorry I can't help with the med issue! GL!

Re: Hello ladies. I am getting ready for TTC #2 and have a few questions
im personally not nervous to try for #2 but i can see where someone WOULD feel nervous. sleep deprivation while dealing with an older child, the added expense, juggling two schedules - it will certainly be an adjustment. however, everyone WILL adjust and i feel there is no greater gift than a sibling

We are just starting TTC #2 and we are scared too. I am really only concerned about the cost of having two in daycare but unfortunately it is what it is.
Anyhow, congratulations and welcome!

Re: Hello ladies. I am getting ready for TTC #2 and have a few questions
We haven't started trying for #1 yet because my NP wants me off of my meds. So we are weening me down until I'm on nothing. Some medications are ok but it's always best to be on as little as possible. Anixiety meds like ativan and xanax though are a no-no. They can cause a lot of problems to your baby. Good luck!!

Re: Hello ladies. I am getting ready for TTC #2 and have a few questions
Here are a few things I am nervous about.
DC #1 was NOT an easy baby. We had issues with milk allergy, reflux, etc. Dc hated sleeping =( I guess I am scared that will happen again.
I also feel as if we have finally found of groove as a family of 3 and now it’s gonna change again.
I’m nervous that when I get pregnant that it won’t be as easy as my first, same for delivery.
Scared that I will be tired during my pregnancy won’t be able to give DC#1 the attention he deserves.
PLEASE tell me some of this is normal feeling

I think it's totally normal to feel that way! My DS has a milk allergy as well, hates sleeping, wakes up 3X a night to eat, and is super active during the day. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it!

Re: Hello ladies. I am getting ready for TTC #2 and have a few questions
I am in the same boat and we are starting this winter. I am scared and then some days so excited.
When I think about how tough it will be, I tell myself that infancy and the tough days won't last forever. Think of the big picture!
I wonder if we are really ready and then I ask myself "will we ever REALLY be ready?" KWIM? You are not alone
