Help!! I'm trying so hard to find something like this...

I want a tall, narrow bookshelf to use exactly as it is used in this pic - with the lamp on top. I can't find ANYTHING in this style ANYWHERE!



I don't necessarily want it in pink. I just can't seem to find the right height, and I don't want it to be too wide, yet I want the lamp to be able to sit on top.

Any suggestions as to where I can find something like this? I've tried Ikea, Walmart, Target, Amazon...ebay!!

go to lowes in the closet organizer aisle i have somethng like that you have to put it together but its that height it comes in white and wood i believe

Finally found something SIMILAR but not exactly...don't really want a drawer or a door for her to open...

Found this at Bed Bath & Beyond...but it's considered 'bathroom furniture'

Tara- my friend got one like that in unfinished wood at Michaels and then painted it the color of the wall in her baby's room. I may be going that route as well. I have a ton of books now after the shower!

I was trying to sleep as late as possible because I was exhausted after yesterday but my allergies are bothering me a lot and I was coughing a lot through the night. I have to see if I can take anything.

Oh no, I'm sorry! I went to bed after 11 (I honestly could NOT go to bed until I found that bookcase! ), and got up at 5 because Brett's breathing is AWFUL right now with his allergies...and now mine's acting up (just runny nose though, thank God). I can't sleep with all the noise he's making!

I hope you can take something!

i had something very similar that I got from Target several years ago. It was a pantry...I stacked that bookcase looking thing ontop of the door piece. I dont know if they still sell it.

Do you live near a homegoods? Sometimes they have some cute pieces, it is hit or miss though.

I know about 3 months ago one of those unfinished wood places on 110 has something ALMOST identical! You would have to paint it but you could customize it then also; maybe add ladybugs or her name. HTH!

So ladies...I went on a mad spree today and I'm exhausted. I tried Michael's first and I came SO close to buying a 3-cubed unfinished wood thing...but it had no backing and I really didn't like how it was constructed.

came really close to getting something at Home Goods but it still wasn't quite what I wanted....and not in the best shape either.

Finally ended up at Lowe's and got this...


It's not a sturdy beautiful piece of furniture....but it will do the trick. Do you think I'll have to fasten it to the wall?

I'm also debating whether or not to paint it. Right now the color of the wood goes with our furniture anyway...

I was going to suggest Gothic Cabinet.



Available in different finishes or unfinished so you can paint it.

As far as the one you have... for a baby/child's room, I'd fasten a bookcase to the wall, either directly through the cabinet or they sell anti tip straps. It totally have the look of a ladder for a little kid.
