We went about 7 years ago when DD#1 was little. I was TOTALLY skeeved. I did feel it was a little ghetto. It was filthy when we were there. Lots of Crap floating in the water and sticking to your legs and dirty gross bathrooms. We left early and I will never go back. I was with 4 other families and they all wanted to leave early.

I've heard mixed reviews. Some people love it, some people say it's disgusting. IMO all water parks gross me out.

I LOVE Hershey though.
I was just there this week and you're right I wouldn't say 'ghetto' per say, but Hershey and Dutch Wonderland are much nicer, cleaner and overall have a better vibe to them. I found the $15 parking offensive at SP and it is in no way worth the $$. There's much more at other parks.
That being said DS and DD loved the parade and the Elmo's World show, but i wouldn't rush back.
ITA. We just got back from all 3 parks. if it wasn't for that fact that DD is completely obsessed with sesame I would prob never go back there. I wouldn't use the word "ghetto" but I don't think its clean at all and its def not my favorite place. Her smile and excitement when we are there is what makes it "enjoyable" to me but honestly I am not in any way wowed by that place.
I am spoiled by Dutch Wonderland! And hershey, even though I was sooo crowded the day we were there, it had a whole different feel than sesame place.

ITA!! We were there for all of 1 hour and my husband was totally grossed out by the stuff in the water that we left and never went back!
We love Hershey & Great Wolf Lodge!

We are going to find out next weekend! I have been back and forth forever and just decided to risk it.DD loves Sesame Street so I figure she will be happy no matter what . . .

I've heard mixed things about Sesame from it's lots of fun to it's gross with rude tourists. I think it must all depend when you go and what the park and people are like. I heard the gross comment from the girl who cuts my hair. I'm sure you don't mean to insult your husbands profession but you probably shouldn't write negative things about cops in such a public forum.

We went to Sesame YEARS ago...like at least 7 years ago.
The place was NASTY!! Soooooo dirty, under- staffed, gross!!
Give me Hershey, Great Wolf Lodge, or Busch Gardens ANY DAY!
