HELP..Anyone else deal with regression once new baby came....

My DD is 3 & 1/2 yrs old. Fully potty trained as of Sept. Has had NO problems until now.
DS is 7 weeks old.
DD has started pooping in her underwear & the other day she peed her pants. We are at a loss on how to handle this because nothing so far seems to phase her.
We have tried staying calm & just cleaning it up.
We have tried taking away favorite toys.
We have yelled.
We have tried bribery & reward cup.
It is definitely not on accident. She knowingly goes to another part of the house & then comes out to let us know. Today I took her to the playground (just me & her ALONE for special time) & she pooped her pants.
\
Please give me some other options or what worked best for you. We get so frustrated & really hate to have to constantly punish her. She is otherwise a GREAT kid.

Re: HELP..Anyone else deal with regression once new baby came....

I was in the same situation when my son was born in Sept. My older son was 3 years old and he was potty trained over the summer. Once the baby came my older son started having accidents all over the house. We did all the things you did and I thought I was going to lose my mind, and in the end I didn't yell and scream, I just worked through the accidents with my son. Eventually he stopped, I would say about a month later. I just think it was a huge adjustment for him. So, just go with it and I think your daughter will stop soon. Hang in there, it will get better.

I think it may be the new baby. Chat Icon I think I would not make a big deal about it. My girls never had an accident until DD was born. I tried to just give them extra attention & it went away.
