What was the deal with New Faces modeling?

My friend was over yesterday and her phone rang and it was New Faces modeling. She said she gave her name & number to them bc she wanted to get her girls in modeling. I told her I heard it was a scam or something...I couldn't remember exactly what was said here about them but I remember it being negative. She was over for 2 1/2 hours and they called her cell phone about 6 more times! She was letting it go to voice mail so what the heck? It was kind of creepy that they would call so much and not leave messages.

So what was the story with them?

I went to them a long time ago. I feel they scam people though I have heard of people getting jobs through them. From what I understand, if a modeling agency truly wants you then you should not have to ditch out any $$$!

my brother was scammed by them, ill have to ask him about it...

It is a scam. Legit agencies look down upon them. Stay away!!

They are essentially a scam. But to keep themselves on the up and up they have placed some clients....

They really just want your money for the pics etc...

Big Scam. If your friend wants to get her child into modeling she should take some pics and send them to the top agencies in the city. Some even let you submit online. Tell your friend to never lay out any money. My son booked many jobs off a polaroid.
