He's still refusing solids! WWYD?
for the past 2 months, my hungry hungry boy was plowing through a jar/container of food in no time.
since his 6m shots on Saturday, he's gagging on every solid I can get past his stonewall lips.
he's definitely hungry - he's guzzling bottles. I've increased the ounces and added cereal to bottles to make sure he's getting his fill, but WHAT GIVES with the solids?
I already asked this the other day and the responses were teeth, shots, etc. Give it a few days.
I've tried just cereal (also tested different consistencies of just cereal), just fruits, just veggies, fruits/cereal mixed, veggie/cereal mixed, just his favorites (sweet potatoes, bananas), and now tonight I tried yoBaby banana and he refused that too.
Tried puffs and baby mummums too - refused both.
I put a little yogurt on my finger to see if he'd lick it off - he tried it, but made an awful face, gagged, dry heaved a little.
This is day 4 - at what point do I start to be a little more concerned, and WWYD to correct it?
thanks!

Personally, I wouldn't be that concerned at all...baby food, etc are really just practice for him and his nutrition is coming from his bottles, so as long as he is eating those, I wouldn't stress out
He just starting early with the food drama

Yes-in reality babies don't need solids until 12 months. As long as he is taking his formula you're fine. Just keep offering him food

a tooth must be coming. DS completely stopped ALL food when getting his teeth. He got 4 at one time and it was a long few weeks. He is still a PITA with food.

My answer would be teething. Jake has been teething the last 2 weeks and it has thrown off his feeding schedule. He broke a tooth this weekend and a second is just below the surface. I just try to give him whatever solids he's willing to take and give him bottle to fill him up. As long as he's still sleeping ok, I wouldn't worry about it. He'll get back to normal before you know it. At least that's what I keep telling myself!

As long as he's drinking bottles I wouldn't stress too much about it. One of my goals as a mother is to not stress out about food and how much Lily is eating...I have a fear of passing on bad eating habits to her, so I don't force her to eat if she doesn't want to. And if she wants more of something, as long as it's not terrible, she can have it!

Ditto. They get all their nutritional needs from formula until they are a year old. Feeding them is just to get them used to eating from a spoon and different textures.
Yael went on a food strike for over a month. Yesterday was the FIRST time in WEEKS that she actually ate her baby food at daycare.
Be patient - give it time - the more you stress about it, the more he'll sense the stress and repel. Put the food away for another week, and then try again
