Hi girls, we're home! Now with pics
A big thanks to Kim (KNic) for updating for me and thanks for your well wishes. Aubrey Jane came pretty quickly on Friday, Jan 7th (9 days late) weighing 9lbs 6 oz (no one saw that coming). I went in for cervadil Thurs night. I was mildly contracting and 1-2 cm dilated when I got there so the doc thinks I was on my way into labor anyway. Well the cervadil (put in a 8:45) put me in full blown labor pretty quickly. I was having pretty strong contractions. Then at 5:50 my water broke and the cervadil came out on its own. Then the contractions were insane. I went from 5 to 9 cm in about an hour. I got an epi (best thing ever), got to relax a little and Aubrey was delivered about 3 hrs later.
We're making progress with nursing. Last night, our first night home, she decided she wanted to feed every hour. The doc said let to her do it--hopefully my milk comes in tomorrow or wed and she can go longer. She does have thrush:(. The doc has me taking a probiotic, rather than giving her nystatin, which can upset her tummy and could interfere with our nursing progress.
The doc did have to cut me due to her size, but I don't feel too uncomfortable. I expected it would feel worse. In general, I feel great (besides being tired and at times overwhelmed). I lost 16lbs without trying! Just 10 more to go.
Okay that was long! Pics soon...once I get on my computer. I'm on my phone right now with DD sleeping on my chest and my doggie curled up next to me....Heaven!

She was 9.6 She started to tear me so the doc had to. I didn't feel it at all since I had the epi. Now the stitches are a little sore, but I have instructions and spray and cream to help. I haven't taken any pain med or even motrin for it. It really wasn't too bad.

She's gorgeous!!! Congratulations! Our babies are just one day apart in age!!!
So happy your feeding is going well. We're having such trouble on that front, but remain optimistic. Just taking it a day at a time.

Congrats!! Aubrey is beautiful! (For the record, I had a feeling you were having a girl). And I'm so glad everything went well.
eta: She was 9-6??  Um, ouch!
Bigger babies are great BFers though. DD is 8-8 now (at 5 weeks,) and is just getting the hang of it.
