Hi girls...it's me...not the bomb...and we are HOME
first, I just wanted to say thank you so much to all of you on the boards who wished me well and answered my question these past nine months. you girls ROCK and I would have been lost without you.  
now, for something even more awesome than you all...my son. 
he is LOVE. he is even more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. he looks just like my husband. and what a trooper. let mommy labor long enough to get open and effaced enough to have him vaginally.
I guess I could write a birth story, but I don't want to think too much about it right now 
I labored for 17 hours, pushed for 23 minutes. the cervidil ended up having to be taken out a few hours early b/c I was having crazy intense contractions but was not even 3 cm dilated.
after it was removed, I labored a few more hours with MAJOR contractions until I got to 4 cm (about 11:30 pm on 10/19) at that point, I got the EPIDURAL.
HEAVEN. HEAVEN. HEAVEN on Earth. for those of you that want are hesitant to get an epi b/c you want to "feel" labor let me assure you, you will feel EVERY push. it eased the pain of my contractions and allowed me time to build up the strength I needed to push this bundle out.
HOLY CRAP. pushing was just insane. I really was thinking that pushing this child out of my body was impossible. LIke those before me had really lied and it doesn't really happen I was terrified to be honest...that I would have come all this way only to not be able to get him out at the end.
I have never given so much of myself physically to any one endeavor in my life (and that is saying a lot   ) and 23 minutes, some tearing, an episiotomy and a lacerated cervix (  lost mucho blood) later....my doctor placed this bundle of blood sweat and tears on my belly...Newton was here.
When I looked down, I saw this little baby face...with it's little TONGUE sticking out at me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's right...mocking me from the womb, and as soon as he came out 
I did lose a decent amount of blood and have more stitches than Frankenstein, but I am feeling pretty good.
oh, except for the hemorrhoids..b/c yeah, I never got them once during pregnancy, but I got what I think are 3 of them (or one extremely ginormous one) from pushing this child out.
but what a boy he is. not even 2 days out of my belly and I can barely breathe when he isn't next to me.
I wish you all the best with the rest of your pregnancies. It's not always easy, it's certainly not always fun, labor I guess really DOES suck something awesome...but it's pales in comparsion to the awesomeness that it creates.

P.S. I am sure we'll have more pics soon. I am not good with these things, so I'll have to wait for dh to send me some more to post.

This is so so true and I love how you put it like this.
I couldnt even bear to be more than 5 feet away from her when she was first born.
Even now, if I am not at work, I HATE being anywhere without her. It's funny..I guess since I know work is good for me, I'm ok with leaving her, but I really really miss her if I go to get a pedicure or to the dr or something without her.
It just gets better and better....

Congratulations again! Hearing your story is helping me to decide on an epi or not. I want to do it natural as long as possible, but I also wonder why suffer if I can get some relief. I hope you're feeling better soon and I hope Newton sleeps well for you!
