Hi ladies. Unexplained secondary infertility.
We are pretty close to a year of TTC #2 and have been diagnosed with unexplained secondary infertility. We haven't started treatment yet, still giving it another try on our own before starting IUI. We have to pay for everything OOP. I have been feeling extra emotional lately and I need to get it out I have been posting on the TTC board for the last year, but it is very hard for me to be on there now, the constant revolving door doesn't help much. I'm not sure if I belong on this board either, since I know that most of you have been going through IF longer and trying for your first child. I guess I am just looking for somewhere to vent, where maybe someone is going through the same thing? I am just sick of living my life in 2 week increments. I am fine the first half of the month and then in the 2WW I am a mess (it's where I am now).
Thanks for listening.
Lots of for everyone.

Re: Hi ladies. Unexplained secondary infertility.
I'm there as well. My DD is almost 3 and we've been trying for #2 for 15 months. We got pregnant last summer and then m/c at 8.5 weeks. I started Clomid last month but still had a poor ovulation. On a higher dose this cycle. My DD asks why I don't have a baby in my belly daily and wants a baby so badly. ALL of my friends are pregnant so she sees big bellies everywhere and I am the only one without one so she "gets" it, sort of. Having her ask doesn't help me to stay calm, I get so upset but have to hide it all of the time from her. It's rough! Hoping this is the cycle for all of us!

I also felt like I didnt completely "fit in" when I started to come on this board. I quickly found out everyone is so nice and welcoming and it doesnt matter how long you have been trying or what exactly your IF issues are. Welcome!

Re: Hi ladies. Unexplained secondary infertility.
Of course you fit in - you're struggling with infertility!
I, too, am suffering from secondary infertility. It has been 2 years, but even at the 6 month point, it was extremely painful. Don't EVER feel guilty for your feelings about secondary infertility, "just" because you already have a child. I have posted about this before. My deep, yearning desire for another child is not only about myself, but my daughter as well. The thought of her being an only child literally rips my soul to shreds. And forget about the "picture" of my family with my kids 2 1/2 - 3 years apart ... that boat sailed MANY moons ago. I'll be beyond fortunate if my children are under 5 years apart (or, if I have more than 1 child at all).
Ugh ... I could go on and on ... but please, don't ever feel like you don't belong here. You do. (wish you didn't, of course!)

Re: Hi ladies. Unexplained secondary infertility.
I understand how you feel, IF is so hard and painful whether you already have a child or are trying for your first. eventhough I am not a frequent poster, this board is the only place where there is no judgement, no cliches that can be painful, nobody asking "when are you having one?", in other words, it is the only place I feel "safe" right now, if that makes sense...welcome

Re: Hi ladies. Unexplained secondary infertility.
I totally understand. While I had some difficulty conceiving DD, it was nothing compared to this. DD just turned 2 a few weeks ago and I have been trying for #2 for 8 months now. Just got AF today after my 2nd failed IUI cycle. It is really hard most days, but I guess all we can do is try to be hopeful and have faith that one day it will happen!

Re: Hi ladies. Unexplained secondary infertility.
hoping you get your BFP soon ! we've been trying (or i like to call it not doing anything to prevent for almost 20 months, since DD was born) I honestly thought it would happen sooner. I am telling myself that its not happening now bc its not the right time. BTW: i tested yesterday - i dont know why - BFN bummer
