High Fructose Corn Syrup!!!!

Am I the only one that checks for this in ingredients. It is in everything and I dont allow my son to have it. Can anyone rec. some snacks that don't have it in it. Even baby cookies have it! Its just sooo bad for you!

I have no advice.. but im giggling over here because this reminds of all those TV commercials that say there's basically nothing wrong with High Fructose Corn Syrup if its in moderation.

Not sure where you live but I would go to a local Healthfood store where things are sweetened with fruit juices and pure sugar cane.

ETA: You'll probably need to buy organic snacks.

I mean Im not apposed to him EVER having somehting with it, I dont want him to not have a cup cake at a party etc...I wasnt rasied like that...

Just looking for snacks for everyday basis...what are these cat cookies all about formt TJ???

My sister feels the same way as you and gets a lot of snacks at whole foods. Good Luck!

Nature's Promise- dry fruit, (cherries are his fav.) Veggie chips/sticks, corn chips, (nachos are his fav. dinner) natural applesauce.

Any of the Earths best snacks are good. They have cookies, cheese crackers, graham cracker sticks, whole grain and fruit bars.

I also bake him muffins once a week. I make my own, or I use dr oetkers.

I know it is in everything. I give my DS whole wheat bread, bananas, puffed wheat, cheese, and things like this for snacks. I never give him cookies. I really try to stay away from sugar of any kind. Even most whole wheat bread has sugar so I found an organic kind that is sweetened with honey.

High fructose corn syrup is even in a lot of tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes etc.. I searched until I found a brand without it.

I feel the same way you and the other posters do about it. I have tried to reduce or eliminate as much of it from our diets as possible. It is really hard. I like stoneyfield farm, earths best crackers and cookies, kashi for cereal bars and cookies, barilla for pasta and sauce, and I try to buy fresh veggies and meats.
