HIP health plan

Hello,

I will be stating a position in the DOE this Sept and I was looking at different health plans. According to my research, both HIP and GHI don't require members to pay premiums. It seems like most ppl pick GHI but HIP doesn't charge co-pays while GHI does, so I was leaning toward HIP. Am I missing something about HIP? Is there a catch? I checked and my current doctors are in-network with HIP. Why don't more people pick HIP?

When I was hired with the DOE you were still required to go to HIP centers. I didn't want to switch doctors, etc.

I actually had no idea that with HIP you could go to offsite doctors.
