Holiday card question for girls without kids!
Is it stupid to put a pic of DH and I on the card? We aren't newlyweds and we aren't even that cute  , but I feel like every card I like is a photo card.
ps...the card I really like is flat and has writing on the front (no photo) but asks for a photo on the back.

We get a photo card from DH's aunt an uncle. Their kids are all grown and it's just a picture of them-I always love it.

I'm not a fan of photocards that have just a couple on them -- but that's just me.
DH and I have never done it because we just think it seems weird. Probably because we are used to seeing photo cards from families with kids.

I have a couple that sends pics of themselves out on their holiday cards and every year I chuckle when I get it, I do think its a little odd.

I don't think it's stupid at all.
Our Christmas card this year has DH, me, DS and DD on it. While a lot of the cards we are getting just have the kids on them.
My parents always send out a photo card of just the 2 of them. I think they are great. I love seeing pictures of everyone!
ETA: Could someone who thinks cards like this are strange, please tell me why you feel that way? I never thought that photo holiday cards were reserved just for cute kids? Care to shed some light?????

I don't think it's stupid but I don't send it to everyone. We didn't do it this year but we usually do a family photo with the dog and send it to mainly family and close friends. I know most of DH's family cuts out the picture and keeps it because I've seen it on their refrigerators. To people we send cards to but aren't very close with we just send regular cards.

To be honest I also think it's a little odd. I can't quite explain why...maybe it comes across as self absorbed? Maybe a photo of a pet or with a pet in it.
It doesn't make sense now that I read it, maybe I've just been conditioned to think that photocards are reserved for cute kids and pets only.

bc I dont think pictures of my adult friends are cute and I dont oooh and ahhh over them when I get the picture. They arent adorable little kids, I dont get to see how theyve grown over the last year.....aged maybe. I dont want to put my friends up on my fridge. I really have no good reason for it, but I just think, again, for no good reason, that the photocards are to put kids on.
There are a few exceptions where I would not find it awkward - New house, and they were in the yard, engagement or wedding photo if they were recently engaged or wed over the last year.
Dont get me wrong, Im not offended by it, I dont judge them for it, I really dont give it any thought after the initial opening of the card, its not a big deal AT ALL, I just dont understand it. DH and I didnt send photo cards out before we had DS, now we do, but we still dont put ourselves on it.
I have no overwhelming, sway the jury reason for it, I just dont understand it.

I don't get it either.
Over the years, I have read so many threads about how thank you cards are a waste, photo cards should only have kids or animals, holiday letters are akin to committing a crime, it makes me wonder why people bother at all. Maybe it's me, but I can't attach any negative feeling to anyone that takes time to send me a greeting.

I think this is adorable!!
I don't see why you shouldn't. I don't know that we get any like thatand I never sent one, but I'd probably just think it's nice. Especially one of friends I don't see often. I just like pictures.
I do like regular cards too - I like seeing what everyone picks.

To me it is strange, because it is unusal. Its just not that common.
It also doesn't seem necessesary. Most people I get cards from I see occasionally & know what they look like. It's not like kids that change quickly.
Its also strange to me, b/c I hate pictures of myself , so I wouldn't never do it & it is hard to imagine other people actually having fun with that.
I do have firends that LOVE to take pictures & just sent a card with themselves on it. It's cute. It's funny. I laughed, and then I hung it up with the other photo cards. 
And for the record, PVT's cards are adorable--they obviously have a sense of humor.

I snt phot cards for 3 years.
One was FH and I with Mickey/Minnie Santa hats in front of the decked out Castle.
We went to Disney around Christmas time so I had to do it.
The following year we went to Disney for Halloween, so I sent pics of us dressed as Snow White and Prince Charming. LOL!
Last year it was just us in front of the tree. This year I sent a non-photo card, but next year I will probably send a card with wedding photos. MagnetStreet has some cute ones.

Putting a pic of your kid is Narcissistic too if you think putting a picture of just yourself is so either way, it 's an extension of the couple.
Don't get that comment at all.
Even though I personally wouldn't do it, I wouldn't think it's weird if someone else did.
ps: I love the poster who does the every year with her BF/DH ..very cute! I mean, how cute will it be when they are in their 70's !
