Re: Holiday card question for girls without kids!
I could see it being 1. a pet or 2. your house or tree (with a saying from our home to yours)... However I will admit the picture the other person posted of them with santa is cute

Re: Holiday card question for girls without kids!
I get one from an adult family...parents and three grown kids and now a new daughter-in-law as well...and I am thinking its totally weird. But I have come to expect it every year.

Since DH & I started dating 6 yrs ago, I send a pic of my DH & I
WITH SANTA!
IMAGE
We took our 2010 one yesterday so I don't have it online yet.
Love it! What a great card! Eta... LOL I thought this was one card with Santa thru the years. Either way very cute!
I love this - but after a few years, is Santa like - I'll just stand behind them?

bc I dont think pictures of my adult friends are cute and I dont oooh and ahhh over them when I get the picture. They arent adorable little kids, I dont get to see how theyve grown over the last year.....aged maybe. I dont want to put my friends up on my fridge. I really have no good reason for it, but I just think, again, for no good reason, that the photocards are to put kids on.
There are a few exceptions where I would not find it awkward - New house, and they were in the yard, engagement or wedding photo if they were recently engaged or wed over the last year.
Dont get me wrong, Im not offended by it, I dont judge them for it, I really dont give it any thought after the initial opening of the card, its not a big deal AT ALL, I just dont understand it. DH and I didnt send photo cards out before we had DS, now we do, but we still dont put ourselves on it.
I have no overwhelming, sway the jury reason for it, I just dont understand it.
Totally agree.
I think seeing little kids in a holiday photo card is adorable...(i guess i connect the innocence of the holidays with them and with santa etc..) but i don't think there is anything adorable about a couple on a christmas card.
I never did that before kids and i still don't put pics of us on the cards...if my friends did that, i wouldn't necessarily care, but i guess i'd find it odd..

They go the other way our first pic was in the red so he probably said..."I'm tired of standing"
