We've received about a dozen...I'm hoping it's just people procrastinating.

I received 1 so far, that's it. Either I'm a loser or it's early??? I have a nice new card holder and 1 card. Oh the irony of that purchase! Chat Icon Chat Icon

We're not even doing pictures this year... save a spot for our card, though. Chat Icon

Re: Holiday cards - is it early??

I can count how many I have received this year on one hand. Very odd considering theres only 11 days left until Christmas and usually at this time, my doorway is covered!

I'm sending mine out today. (Later than usual), so maybe everyone else is as well?

Re: Holiday cards - is it early??

I sent out around 80 on Friday and have only received 4 so far. I know some of the people I sent cards to, don't do them, but still, I was getting upset too.

We've gotten 11 so far but, I figure there are still 11 days until Christmas...

I'm also not sending any out this year, I figured I would do a combined birth announcement but, it's going to be an after-holiday card at this rate.

We haven't received all that many this year. By this time, I'm usually running out of room on the display table! Chat Icon

I didn't get that many either and either did my mom. People are saying it is the economy. No offense but it doesn't cost that much to buy some stamps and buy some cards.

Re: Holiday cards - is it early??

I mailed mine out last Monday, but I always try to do it in the 1st week or so of December just so I don't feel rushed. We have about 5 so far, but it seems like we don't really get many until the weekend before Christmas or the week of.

Re: Holiday cards - is it early??

it is so strange, i was talking about it with my coworkers how we have only received 3 holiday cards, last year at this time we would have like 100!!!! it is crazy!

Same at home, DH and I definitely have not received as many cards as we did last year.

I sent out our cards on Friday

I think people are definitely cutting back in this area. We had a ton last year at this time and we only have about 5-6 now.

I haven't sent mine out yet but I will soon.

Re: Holiday cards - is it early??

I;ve only gotten like 3 so far too! I was thinking I must be a total loser or something! I am sending mine out this week though so maybe everyone is on that kind of time schedule for them?

Thanksgiving was late this year which really tighten's the available time between the holidays. When it falls earlier in November (sometimes as early as the 23rd) you have almost an extra week to get stuff done.

I think this is a really good point.

Re: Holiday cards - is it early??

Also, a lot of post offices have cut back hours. The one in our hamlet used to be open till 7 and now closes at 5, so that's a little harder.
