Holy Hospital Bill! C-Section
Thank God for insurance! I just got the statement from my health insurance regarding my recent delivery and all I can say is Wow.
I went in for an induction on tuesday night, had c-section wednesday afternoon and was discharged on sunday and the total bill was $13,805.86
My drugs alone were $274.86 for blood pressure medication and pain killers!
ETA--This doesnt include any charges for the nursery!

18k, holy crap. I thought C's were more expensive. Mine was 15k alone just for the hospital.

...and how funny is it that it shows they are not covering the charges for the Delivery Room! Hello, if I didnt need to be in the delivery room, I probably wouldnt have needed to be in the hospital to begin with!

Nuts right!
I had a huge private room you labor, deliver and recover in.
My doc got about 9k, doc for my epidural-5k, and the rest went to the hospital and nursery charges.

When I got pregnant, my Mom found the bill from her birth at the same hospital. It was $34 including meds

Doctor bill - $6000
Anesthesia bill - $1200
DD's hosital bill -$3000
Total amount I owed-$0
