Holy sticker shock...are bottles really this expensive?
I haven't bought bottles in over 3 years and come to think of it probably got them as a gift off my registry the first time around. But for my next baby I wanted to get new ones that were BPA free and was literally stunned at the prices. Even the bigger Avent gift packs were like, 5 bottles for $45! Born Free comes in an $18 two pack! Do I really need to pay $9 per bottle? I went to Buy Buy Baby and then Target, which has a smaller selection for the same prices. Where else can I go? If I order online then I have to pay shipping which defeats the purpose!

I couldn't believe how expensive they were when I was registering. But, Gerber makes BPA-free plastic ones that are pretty reasonable. I don't know how you feel about glass bottles, but the Evenflo "traditional" style bottles (like what we had as kids) aren't too bad, either.
I also got a 3-pak of Dr. Brown's in TRU for $15. I know that's not really cheap, but it was a lot less expensive than I expected, and it was worth the price for us.

Thanks. I had some Dr. Browns the first time around and it was truly a pain to wash all the parts and I didn't notice much benefit from the system. I'd consider glass bottles, just concerned about breakage...you know like in the middle of the night when I can barely walk or see! :)

I skipped the born free - I tried them and didn't love them. I went with the BPA free Dr. Brown's. I found them less expensive and bought 15 of them so that I could use the dishwasher vs handwashing all the parts all the time (yes I'm lazy!! )
