home security system
the previous homeowners of our house had a security system in the house already but there are 3 more windows we wanted to have hooked up.
we got an estimate of $800 & i think thats absolutely crazy. Does anyone know if that is a normal price ?
my mother in law works for the company so my husband insists thats a decient price & he wants to do it

When we just priced out systems we were told between $75 - $125 per window depending on the company, so that sounds like a lot to me!!

We just paid less then 800 for an entire new system with 3 doors wired (wireless). Add-ons for windows were only like $70-100 I think!

That is a lot of money - I think our company runs about $75-150 range for a window. What are you getting ON the windows - just the sensors for if someone opens or closes or are you getting those plus the sensors if someone breaks the glass which I think is a lot more - but I can't remember.
