Homes near the water- Insurance question

Hey everyone!
If you live near the water, who is your Homeowner's insurance through? I need to find a new provider. TIA!

We use Liberty Mutual. Our auto is with them as well, at the time they required we have both to get the homeowners with them, not sure if that's still the policy.

Re: Homes near the water- Insurance question

We have Mercury. Travelers will also insure if you are near water. It also depends on whether you are South Shore or North Shore. State Farm won't insure South Shore of LI. We had a difficult time finding someone to insure just bc we are near water. We aren't even officially in a flood zone! We wound up using a broker after calling over 10 companies myself.

Thanks ladies! Keep the suggestions coming!
I'm using an agent, but I think they have limited companies they deal with. South Shore.
TIA!

I'm right on the water and use Scottsdale. We used a broker because it was hard to find a company to insure us.
