Re: Homozygote MTHFR
I have MTHFR too and am taking Lovenox. It stings but after 2 injectible IVF cycles it doesn't phase me at all.
I also take Progesterone in Oil (PIO) in the butt every night. So now, I bleed a lot when we do the injection. Other than that, I haven't had any side effects from the Lovenox (what names, MTHFR and Lovenox )
Anyway taking the medication in my case is much better than not, so I hope the same is true for you! Good luck...!

Re: Homozygote MTHFR
Well I spoke to my doctor yesterday. She had spoken to the high risk doctor and he recommended that I up my folic intake for 2 weeks and then they will test my homosysteine level. I am going from 800 micrograms to 2,000 micrograms. If the homosysteine is elevated, I think I will need to go on Heparin. My doctor said they will monitor me closer during my pregnancy (more ultrasounds, etc)
