Hospital Help Needed - Winthrop/North Shore Univ - Manhasset
I have to find a new obgyn because of insurance change. I have 2 that were recommended to me -- one is affiliated with Winthrop and the other North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset -- to the ladies who delivered there - please give me your opinions! Thank you!

I had a great experience at NS Manhasset.
the nurses were awesome and took great care of me from L&D to the ones in maternity
I BF but let him have formula in the nursery at night and the nurses never gave me a problem about that.
also Manhasset had great classes and they set up a dessert table every night for the mommies

I was in NSU for 1 month!
I was in the high risk unit, then, when it was time to deliver (I was being monitired), I was taken over to L&D.
I was a repeat C Section, so, since I ate breakfast and wasn't really considered and emergency C, I had to wait the 8 hours in the L&D room.
The nurses in BOTH units were AMAZING!
I don't have any complaints about any of the nurses. My C section and recovery were pretty easy!
The NICU staff was incredible!
I honestly cannot think of anything negative about my stay and it was a LOoooong ONE!

i loved winthrop! L&D nurses were amazing and really took care of me and DH too! They made sure he had dinner and asked him if he needed anything, it was nice that no one forgot about him. on the maternity floor everyone was so helpful and amazing! I really loved it during my short stay!

I remember the snack cart. Those snacks were perfect right before bed.
I also had a great experience at Winthrop. No complaints, whatsoever.

I delivered at NSUH. My L&D nurse was AMAZING! I made my DH go out and buy her flowers b/c she was was so good to us. No complaints about the other nurses or hospital.

I worked at NSUH and was a patient and don't have the greatest things to say - not b/c of the staff or my doctors. My roomates were  ....but that could happen anywhere

I work at NSUH and delivered there last Jan. I had a good experience and I would deliver there again. I don't think any of the nurses I encountered were exceptional but I had a pretty routine induction and delivery with no complications so I just needed basic help.

I LOVED Winthrop!!! L&D nurses were awesome, and Maternity nurses were great too. DS was born 5 weeks premature so he had to stay in NICU for a week and the staff was outstanding. I will deliver the next DC there.
ETA - and yes the snack cart was great!! they even let me & DH take more then 1 item!!!
