Hospital registration/ tour and classes

When did you send out your hospital pre-registration forms given to you by the OB and when did you schedule a tour and register for the classes offered by the hospital?

I have an OB appointment this Thursday and I'll be almost 26 weeks so I’m wondering if it's too early to even ask him these questions.

i just turned 26 weeks and my OB said that after New Years would be fine...she saidthe classes depend on what i'm taking.

where are you delivering? would be cool if you were at south nassau with me!

My OB gave me the forms at my very first appointment at 8 weeks and it said on them to send in the hospital pre-registration by 20 weeks. The paperwork also had information about the classes, and it told me to sign up ASAP for classes because they fill up fast. I signed up by around 24 weeks and my classes started at 32 weeks (and ended last week at 35 weeks).

I'm not in NY though so it may be that where I am they just don't have the same number of people needing these classes. They only run them twice a year!

I would go on the website for the hospital and see if they have suggestions about when to preregister and all. There were girls in my class who hadn't preregistered at the hospital yet even when we were taking our class (as far along as I am) and it didn't matter. They just filled it out at some point when they were at the hospital.
