I'm a fan of the gladiator sandals! I have a pair but not a fan of the "high tops" gladiator sandal up the ankle.
The jury is still out on the maxi dress for me, but definitely hate the name.

I love (and have) them both. I think you just have to find the right type of shoe and dress for you. I am short so it took me a while to find some dresses that flattered ME...and I was able to find some gladiators that are still feminine and fun. There are a lot of options out there - you just have to search!

LOVE THE MAXI DRESS. Gladiator shoes are tough to rock but can look great with the right outfit.....in particular I really like 1 & 6.

Maybe I'm wrong...or just old & forgetful, but weren't we rocking those long dresses circa 1992? I could swaer I was into those then, and I like them now....

sandals.....nay...
Maxi dress.... I really love some of them but I do feel you have to be tall to pull them off and they also have the tendency to widen even the thinnest of people...I am thinking of getting an inexpensive but cute one and hemming it to see how it looks though..

that's right. I had a bunch in 1992. I still like them but I didn't get any for this season, even though I really liked the one I tried on at the Gap.
I can NOT wrap my head around gladiator sandals. I've seen them on people - and people who I could tell had a good sense of style, very well dressed, etc. - and I just don't like them.
