Re: How do you heat formula?
I don't. I use bottled water (she's only on one formula bottle a day) at room temp & mix with powdered formula.
Eventually I'll just use lukewarm tap water.
Because she is used to room temp water in her bottle, she'll take it easily when we're out & in a situation where I couldn't heat it up if I wanted to.

thanks!!
anyone just serve cold? I was reading that there is no need to warm, its baby's preference.
I served at room temperature, with bottled water and made the bottles as needed.
I would never put DS bottle or food in the micro, but thats just me.

Re: How do you heat formula?
For the first 3 months, I would take the bottle and sit it in hot tap water in a mug for a few minutes to take off the chill.
After 3 months old, I got lazy and she drinks it cold right out of the fridge!

Re: How do you heat formula?
Ella drinks all temps - cold, room temp, warm, body temp. I never warmed her bottles, except to defrost frozen BM.

Same here!
I started with the electric bottle warmer and then just went room temp. So convienient and DD never had a problem. It was great for when we were out!

Re: How do you heat formula?
I was doing the pot on the stove too, but after one sleep deprived night that i left the stove on and the pot burned i turned to using hot tap water and letting the bottles sit in the water for 1-2 minutes. So much easier.
At night feedings I would use the ready to drink cans of 4ozs and just bring it to my room to open when they needed to be fed.

Re: How do you heat formula?
I boil water. If I use the powder then I will just use very warm tap water (through the Brita Filter) and add the powder.
Maybe this is my fault, but DS like is very warm. My mom always says "Isn't that too hot for him?" but he sucks it down. If it's only room temp or a little on the cold side, he takes forever to eat it.

That's what we do. I have never had to heat up a bottle.

we do - we figure if she doesn't know any other way, she'll be fine - this way we can always feed her no matter what....we usually let it get to a little room temp but she's had it cold too....
maybe we're mean parents but we figurwe it'd be easier in the long run and so far,she hasn't had a problem with it so....
We're pretty much the same. Luca doesn't get formula, but he gets bottles of BM when I'm at work or if we're out. I will usually let it sit in a mug of hot water, but if there's not one handy or he's screaming hungry, I just give it to him cold. He seems fine no matter what.

Re: How do you heat formula?
I always used the microwave and then shake the bottle to avoid those "hot spots".
