How do you store your old books?
I have a lot of books, old childhood books as well as a lot of school books and papers that I want to keep and are currently stored in paper boxes in my foyer closet (we have one of those deep closets). Since we now have our little guy on the way, I know that I will need that space.
I was wondering if I could maybe put all of the books in a big plastic bin, cover it with plastic and store it in our shed (in the backyard). Do you think the moisture will get to the books?
How do you store your old books? Thanks!

Re: How do you store your old books?
My favorite books (this incudes childhood books) sit on a bookshelf in our study. The rest of the books are on shelves and in plastic bins & cardboard boxes in our attic.
I would be concerned with moisture in a shed.
If you can part with them, I would just donate them (or sell them on half.com or some such site).

If you have an attic, I would store them there. It would be the driest place. It's hard to keep them completely dry in a shed or basement.
If not, do you have any interior closets or space that you are not using?
If the shed is the only spot, then yes, cover them in plastic bags and seal them in plastic bins.
