How early did you get a sonogram?

I am 5 weeks and went to the dr. today because I might have miscarried. My doctor did a sono but it did not show anything because I am so early. I went for bloodwork and will find out tomorrow what my levels are.

My question is, when is the earliest any of you had a sono and were able to see something on it or anything????

Any input is greatly appreciated!!!

I had my first sono at 5 weeks 6 days. My cycle was off and I ovulated way later then I thought. It was just two tiny dots and one of them blinked (Heartbeat). The doctor said it was rare to see the heartbeat that soon.

I had a followup today since my first was so soon. I actually looked like a baby which was so amazing to see.

I had one at 5w5d because I was bleeding. I saw a heartbeat and everything turned out fine. Good Luck!

We had the first sono at 8 weeks. My first appointment was 6 weeks and the dr told me to wait until 8 weeks as sometimes you can't see anything that early.

I had my first one at 6 weeks 5 days, you could see the heart beat and hear it with an internal sono, it was hard to really see the baby since its so small.

5 weeks, 6 days we were able to see and hear a very new heartbeat.

I am pretty sure I was 7 weeks and change....I hope everything works out for you

I was 6 weeks, but only bc I was bleeding and it was so early that all they saw was a sac - no heartbeat. At 6 1/2 weeks I went back bc I was bleeding again, and they saw the heartbeat. A lot can happen in just a few days. I also had to get blood taken in between the sonos so they could make sure my #'s doubled and they didn't (almost but not as much as they were looking for) Needless to say I am now 22 weeks and the baby is healthy and everything looks great.

I was 10 weeks 6 days. They thought I was further along until I had the sono and then figured out I was 10 weeks 6 days.

my Dr. did one at my first appointment to see if he could tell about how far along I was....at that time I was just under 5 weeks....and he couldn't see anything...I went again at 6 weeks and 3 days and I saw the little baby and heard the heart beat. Im going again for an appointment tomorrow and I am 8 and a 1/2 weeks now.

Thank you for all of the responses. I go to the doctor again on Friday and they will do another sonogram. This will give me a better idea on what is going on.

ok, I got a sonogram at 5 weeks, then 6 weeks and all we saw was a sac. By 7 weeks there was a bean and a heart beat, then 8 weeks a larger bean. now I get sonograms every 2 weeks due to being High risk. my levels went from 318 to 1000 to 6000.

6 weeks for me to check for the heartbeat, but I had 2 m/c's befoerhand so they wanted to be extra cautious.

5w6d - we saw a blob and a flickering (which was the h/b).

5 weeks and 2 days. We just saw the sac and the flickering of the heartbeat.

I went at 5w2d and we only saw a sac with a dot in it. No baby not flicker. At 7w2d there was a baby with a heartbeat.

I just postponed my first visit to 7 weeks, so there'd be something to see.

my doc wouldn't even see me until i was 8 weeks pregnant, at which time i had a sono to confirm the pregnancy.
