How far along before 1st Doc Appointment?
Just got a BFP yesterday  even though AF is technically due today. When should I schedule my first doctor's appointment?

Call now and let them decide when to bring you in. I first saw my doctor at 7 weeks.

I'll be starting my 8th week when I go for my first appointment.
Originally had one scheduled for this week (i'm in my 6th week), but they wanted me to wait, I think so they could do a sonogram also.

My doctor wants to wait until 7 weeks to see me, but i'm going to schedule it when i'm 8 weeks.  (i'm only 5 weeks now)
Congrats on your BFP!!!  There seems to be a bunch of us these days!

Call your OB...some will see you right away...some make you wait! I went for my first at 6 weeks!!

When I first got my BFP I called my dr to tell her I may be pregnant. She asked me to come in right away so she can confirm it for me. When she did she treated me (I was 4 weeks at the time) as if it was my first appt.

My office had my come in for bloowork as soon as I found out I was pregnant and then again a few days later to check my Beta #s. My actual Dr. didn't see me until I was 8 weeks.

Congrats My doctor wouldn't see me until two missed periods (8 weeks). Just call and set up an appt. The secretary will let you know what the office policy is.

Congrats!!!! I am almost 6 wks and my dr sch'd me a sono and bloodwork in 2 1/2 wks...so I'll be (8 1/2wks)
Then going back to see the Dr. in Dec.
Just call and ask, they will tell you the office policy...Once again welcome

My doctor saw me at 6 weeks for blood work and pap smear. She then scheduled me for my 8 week sonogram. call your OB/GYN and find out the policy. Congrats!!!

When I called my dr they said they didn't want to see me until I was almost 6 weeks.
