one of my friends made a very good point to me about this..
you want to have your shower with enough time in order to purchase anything you didn't get but will NEED before the baby comes....
i.
Can I just say that you don't really NEED that much to bring the baby home. You need some clothes (not too many b/c who knows what size your kid will wear and for how long) and a car seat and something for the baby to sleep in. That's it!

My shower is Jan. 31 and I am due April 11.
The month of Feb. was out cause one of my aunts will be away the entire month and my mom really wanted her there. I didn't want it in March cause that was cutting it too close and I wanted enough time do finish shopping, take care of returns etc.

I just recently had mine at 33 weeks. It was a great time because I was still mobile and feeling decent overall.

My friends and I were thinking the beginning of February. I am due at the end of March so I should be about 33 weeks pregnant.
I was due March 28 and I had my shower mid February. I was 33 weeks. Baby decided to come early 4 weeks later.

From my experience its really nice to do it around 33 weeks. It gives you enough time to return/echange/ purchase things you didnt get or need- and closer towards the end your cranky and uncomfortable (for the most part).
I was around 30 weeks for my first party with my first, around 35 for the second party- and with DS #2 i was 35 weeks....
