How hard is the trigger shot do do yourself?
I have been doing gonal-f shots with the pen for about 10 days now - really not that difficult. However, I will have to give myself the trigger shot tomorrow/Saturday, and that needle looks SO big!!

what are you triggering w/? Ovidrel?
If so, it's not worse than gonal-f, especially if you ice the area first...

what are you triggering w/? Ovidrel?

I just hate that it's not a pen and an actual syringe!

I know- i did too. it totally freaked me out to be honest.  but it was bearable!  You'll do great!!!

Are you doing intramuscular or subcutaneaous?
SubC - just do it the same as the GonalF
IM - I found it best to just point and shoot...

Ovidrel should be subQ (though I've heard of someone doing it IM before, I think at this point we've all seen everything).
But, the needle is the same size as the gonal F and you'll find that the prefilled syringe is even easier than the gonal F. You only have to tap it to get the bubbles to top and sllloooowwwwlllllyy push the plunger until a drop falls out and you are ready to inject. Easy.
Good luck. Looks like we are on the same schedule (almost).

I did the trigger myself for the first time last night and it was just as easy as the pen. Maybe even easier since you don't have to dial the dose.

Did the ovidrel last night and completely freaked myself out. I did it, but after a half hour of staring at the needle! It definitely hurt me more than the gonal-f - the needle seemed thicker.
I am feeling VERY bloated and a bit crampy this morning. I'll be leaving here soon to go for my IUI! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I made DH do the Ovidrel because I was so freaked out!  I'm glad you were able to get through it!
The only thing I remember about afterward was that the area was stinging for about the next 1/2 hour, but then I felt fine.
Still for you!!!!
