trigger shot - how long in your system? UPDATE #2 - TESTED AGAIN TODAY!
How long before the trigger shot is out of your system? I had my trigger last Tues am. thanks.
UPDATE: I was really stupid and tested last night and this morning. Both times I got a faint second line. This morning it was slightly darker, and I mean slightly. I can't be preggo, right?? Please someone bring me to reality so I can get rid of this false hope! I am 10 dpo and 11 days past trigger. It has to be the trigger, right? I tested at about 5 last night and just now at 5:30am. I don't know the amount of the hcg shot, I have a printout of the instructions and it says ovidrel 2.5???? I could e-mail my RE, but I know he will say I should not be testing!! I'm a POAS addict. I just know I can't be, DH's count was soooo low when we did the IUI. Thanks and sorry for rambling on, I just keep reading different things online about how long the trigger stays in your system.
UPDATE #2: I tested again this morning and there was a second line again, slightly darker than yesterday. So do you think this is the real thing? I am still not convinced, probably because I'm cautious after my m/c and I just did not feel confident after the IUI. I am still thinking it's the trigger!! Today is 11 dp IUI and 12 dp trigger.
The wait until this morning to test was torture, now I can't imagine getting through today and testing again tomorrow!! Thanks for your advice and for listening!!

Re: trigger shot - how long in your system?
Thats when I had mine too. From what I have read and from the knowledge of the ladies on here it should be out of your system around 10 days after the trigger, so that would be today for both of us.

Re: trigger shot - how long in your system? UPDATE, please help!
I have my crossables crossed for you! I think the rule is the trigger stays in your system typically about 1 day per 1000 units.

Re: trigger shot - how long in your system? UPDATE, please help!
I would tell you if I got a line, but I couldn't find the HPTs I had at home so I'm going to wait until tomorrow. I really hope its a BFP!!!!
ETA: test again tomorrow and if the line goes away and/or is fainter, you'll know it was the trigger, but if its darker then you'll know its a BFP.

A line is a line is a line!!! It's far enough out that you don't have the trigger in your system.
Congratulations!!!!!!!

Re: trigger shot - how long in your system? UPDATE, please help!
I think we have a BFP on our hands...
Test again tomorrow morning to be sure!
ETA: Ovidrel 2.5 is only 5000 of hcg I believe...so it would have been out of your system after 5 days, not 10...

Re: trigger shot - how long in your system? UPDATE, please help!
Im gonna say I think its a BFP as well....The ovidrel , even in high high doses gave me faint positives until the 4th day. I ALWAYS got a white HPT on day 5 and I used it at least 8 times I think....
Fingers crossed!

This sounds like good news to me! The line should get darker, not lighter, but don't worry if it isn't extremely dark right now. We understand the cautious optimism!!! I don't think this is your trigger!
