how long after losing your mucus plug were you in labor?
My friend just lost hers and she wants to know.
Also, did you lose it over a period of time or all at once?

I started to loose it at 4pm and my water broke at 11:30pm and I lost the rest of it, dd was born at 11:27am the next day!!

Mine fell out slowly. I'd say over the course of 3 days. I went into labor on the third day. And I didn't have a bloody show until I was in labor.

Lost it at 2pm and went into labor about 7pm.
ETA "Went into labor" for me, meant I started having back pain. By 9pm I was having cramps. By 10pm I was in full on contractions. Had him at 12:50am.

I lost it at 10am(SUN) then got contractions.. was sent to the hosp at 12am (MON) i was not dialated.. they gave me potocin soon after got more contractions started dialating they broke my water.. had baby at 4 20p (Mon)

I remember loosing a little bit on a Friday and alot of it the next day Saturday. I went into labor early Sunday morning (around 3:30am) and delivered that night.

My fell out slowly, but a huge chunk of it fell out around 11pm on Thursday 4/17. I went into labor around 3am Friday 4/18.

I started losing mine on Saturday morning, and lost more each day. Had DD Friday night...so almost a week.

I think a little came out over time - but the majority of it fell out about 9AM that morning, my water broke around 9:40AM and I had  at 10:24AM

I don't remember losing it at all with my first 2 pregnancies. With my 3rd baby I lost it at about 9 pm and labor started about 5 hours later.

Just wanted to add, labor and going into labor is so different for everyone. My OB said it is possible for your mucus plug to reform after losing it.
My sister has had two completely natural births. Neither time did she lose her mucus plug or did her water break before she had contractions or went into active labor.
I know that doesn't sound promising for your friend.
