how long before you know your dc eye color?

when do you really get to see the eye color really show? if your dc has blue eyess were they blue right when they were born? were they dark and then turned light im so curious i know new borns change how they look every day it just fun to wonder

it can take up to 9 months for their eye color to change... my dd eyes were very dark gray.. and in 4 weeks have become much more blue, still on the dark side but they are def. blue i hope they stay.

DD's eyes were dark blue when she was first born and have become lighter over the last 18 months. I think at this point they are not going to change.

DS is 13 months and they're STILL changing! he was light blue, then dark blue, now they're like a hazel but going closer and closer to brown.

ds is 13 months and his eye coloring has not changed. He has blue eyes. On the darker side but i think they're staying that way (like his uncle's eyes are).

Well, both my twins were born with blue eyes, but my daughters started to change to hazzle within the first 6 months. However, my son's eyes stayed blue until this past month (16 m/o) and is now mostly really light brown. Oh, well. I was told that at one year that is their color, not true in our case.

When she was born Mattea's eyes were the first thing EVEYRONE noticed! I have dark dark brown eyes that you can not even see the pupils in. Her daddy has gorgeous grayish/hazel eyes and luckily they were his coloring with my size( I have huge doll eyes). At 12 wks they are still beautiful grey-hazel and haven't changed one bit. I hope they stay like this forever!!! Not to mention the girl has eyelashes people would KILL for!

rankie was born with blue eyes and over time they became, lighter and lighter blue, almost an aqua. In the light you can now see the centers changing to yellowish or green. He is nine months old.

Ds inherited both mine and dhs eyes which change color based on what we wear... so i never really know what his true color is... some days they are blue, others green, today they were brown...

On average it is set by 6-9 months but it can be later like 2 yo.

Actually people with blue eyes can change color at ANYTIME even into adulthood. Sometimes they become greyer, etc..
