How long did it take you to lose the baby weight??

Brody is 1 month old now, and I have not lost any weight since my incision check when he was 1 week old.

I gained 30, and lost 15. I was hoping to lose the final 15 (plus the 4 that I put on ttc) by his Christening in November.

It seems like soo many woman lose the weight so quickly after birth. Was that the case for any of you???

Did you diet immediately after birth? Where you exercising right away?

Do you think it has to do with genetics or age????

What did you do? How long did it take you to "get back to your old self"???

Give yourself more time. I do think age and genetics are factors. I hardly gained any weight but I am still a few lbs over my pre-preg. weight.

Aw, you're so soon after giving birth-- give yourself time!! Your body's been through a lot, try not to stress about it!

I gained 30 pounds and since I EBF for a while, I lost all of it pretty quickly, even lost a few pre-pregnancy pounds too. But, when I stopped BF'ing, I gained weight back My own fault, but still!

I am 3 months post partum and still have 16lbs to go.

The past 2 weeks I really haven't put much effort into it. I got into a bit of a rut.

Try not to stress yourself out over it. Remember, it took 9 months to put it on

Im 3 months PP and im still 30 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight! i gained a total of 60lbs during my pregnancy. i was a little under weight before to begin with so im not trying to loose all of it but if i can loose at least 10 more id be happy

DD#1 6 weeks(just lucky, I did nothing but EBF) I only gained 21lbs though(I had severe morning sickness for the 1st 6 months)

DD#2 10 weeks, my weight is exactly the same as before but I still have an annoying pooch( she is 5 months) I EBF'd for 3 months and just started doing sit ups. I gained about 32-34 lbs, She was 9lbs 3oz ,two weeks early (I am only 5ft 2in and 115lbs, so that was big) I was sick again but only 4-5 months this time.

I def think genetics is a big part of it...everyone's body is different.

I lost 21 lbs 1 week PP...then last week an additional 2 lbs at 5 wks pp. I have 7 lbs to go until I'm pre pregnancy weight.

I haven't dieted or excercised at all....but that will change this week. I went today for my first walk, and I'm going to incorporate more, but slowly...I don't want to hurt myself...i still have some scar tissue around my incision that is tender.

Give yourself time...remember it took you 9 mths to put that weight on...it will probably take that long to get it all off.

I still have 30 lbs to loose, I EBF so its hard since I have to have extra calories a day, once I'm done BF is back to the gym for me!!

I'm almost 7 months pp and still have at least 15lbs to go. I gained 46lbs and lost around 30lbs so far. Honestly i'm not really sure any more will be oming off without diet and excercise...which is just not for me...lol.

I am now after he just turned 1 back to my wedding day size. (But At the cost of having a bad stomach issues)

The first 20 basically melted off but the last 8-10 are sticking at almost 4 months pp. I haven't done much in terms of diet but I do work out 3x a week for an hour...mixed cardio, running, resistance, and abs.

I lost all of it pretty quickly as I was BFing. Then I stopped BFing and kept eating so I put on some.

I have always gained a ton of weight during my pregnancies. I lose most of it right away and then usually after the 1 year mark I take off whatever is left....usually without trying....

This time around things seem really different. Im older now...I was just 26 when I had the twins...Im 35 now. I had put on weight before I got pregnant and was heavier to begin with...Ive lost all the preggo weight but I cant lose the weight I put on right before. Im honestly starting to think there is something going on with my hormones b/c this just isnt like me at all...

it took me like 4mts to be back PP..

now I am 10mts pp.. Back and I am still losing..

its about diet and motovation!

It took over a year for me. With working out and eating well. And Cailen is 18 mts old and people are just telling me now that I lost so much weight. Now I know to anticipate losing my body and my clothes for over two years with the next baby.... I only gained 40 lbs but the last 20 stick!!!

I k now very few woman who lost the weight quickly.

I gained 50 and at almost 10 months pp I still have 5-8 to go. But up until a few weeks ago I did NOTHING and i mean nothign in an attempt to lose any weight.

Give yourself some time your body is still recovering.

I dont think age has to do with it. Genetics yes, your habits even more so. I dont watch what I eat, I never did exercise, so I wasnt like tone or buff before hand. I was slim but nothing crazy.

Just watch what you eat, keep a journal it can help you see if you are snacking too much, or eating too many high calorie items etc. Take some nice long walks and just relax...it will happen.

I still have about 20lbs to lose--I actually gained but thats digestive so doesnt count.

I am taking it day by day. I really have to becareful because I know that I can beat myself up and stop eating because it frustrates me so much BUT I wont.
I am getting a buddy to help me lose weight so we are each others check and balance--maybe you can find someone else trying to lose and you can motivate each other...

I truly believe BFing worked for me but I only had like 7lbs to lose...after like 2 weeks PP it was gone.

9 months up and 9 months down.
Take your time and be realistic. I gained 40 pounds with my first and it took 1 full year to lose the weight, and then got pregnant. Gained 35 with my second and lost it all by his first birthday, and with my 3rd, I am still trying to lose it 13 months later.

I noticed a big difference when DD turned 3 months. I'm now able to get back into my old clothes, but not all of my nice pants. DD is just about 4 months.
I gained 33lbs total during my pregnancy and I have about 5lbs left to make me feel 100% again.

3-4 months to loose it all...but about a year to tighten everything up again.

I lost it all after 4 months. I gained a total of 35 pounds when I was pregnant.

I lost a lot at first (about 22 pounds) and the rest came off slowly. I did not work out at all, but starting taking walks and I think that helped.

I also think that the pregnancy hormones in your body cause you to "hold on" to the weight, as they leave, the weight can come off.

I was back to my weight at my 2 week incision check, BUT after the surgery I lost my appetite and barely ate for the whole time I was in the hospital. Genetics def. has something to do with it, my parents have always been pretty slim. I didn't do any excercise bc I had the C section. Even though I am back to my weight, I'm def. not my old self. my hips are wider and my belly is still sticking out
