How long did you breastfeed for your 1st and 2nd child?

DS was EBF for about 6m and got about 50-50 BM until 8m. He switched to formula at 8m.

How long did you BF your kids?

Just curious if working moms BF shorter than SAHMs.

I'm still undecided if I am going back to work. I don't know if I would BF longer. I don't think I'd want to BF a kid who has teeth!

I EBF'd DS#1 for 3 months and then BF'd and FF'd for one more month = 4 months. I went back to work at 4 months. My original plan was to BF 3 months. I wanted to keep going to 6 months, but my supply decreased when I went back to work.

I will try to do the same with DS#2. I plan to EBF for 3 months, and then go as long as I can BFing and FFing after that. I'll be returning to work after 4 months agains, so we'll see.

EBF for 5 months. Continued to BF and supplement with formula until 9 months.

I went back to work full time when DD was 11 weeks. Pumping at work 3x/day was the pits but i'll do it again when we have #2 for sure.

I also want to try to give exclusively BM for a longer period of time by trying to save a larger freezer stash. I didn't do so well with that with DD which is why we had to start supplementing at 5 months, I just couldn't keep up and didn't have any frozen left.

I bf ds until he weaned at 14 months and dd is almost 17 months and still going strong. I am a wahm not sure if that matters. My sister was a ftwm and bf all 3 of her kids until around 18 months.

EBF'd DD for 6 months. When I went back to work at 6 months we supplemented with FM as well. At 9 months we weaned from all BFing.

FTWM here and still EBF DS at 10.5 months. At 1 year I will stop pumping and only BF morning and night until he weans or by the end of summer, whichever comes first.

I am EBFing 9 months and still going strong I want to make it to the 1 year mark thats my main goal

My son is 13.5 months and still BFing. I went back to work full time when he was 3.5 months old. He goes to daycare where I work 4 out of the 5 days, so I always nursed him on my lunch break.

ETA: I have a friend who has 3 kids. She BFed all 3 until they self-weaned. The first was a week past his 1st birthday, the second was 16 months, and the 3rd was 18 months.

DS#1 - EBF until 3 months, then combo of BF and pumping until 7 mos, then EP until 11 mos. Went to whole milk at 11 mos.

DS#2 - EBF for 10 wks, then had to EP until 12 mos. Went to whole milk at 12 mos.

DD almost a year but i was a SAHM then-and it was only her so it was much easier


DS- 8 months b/c i went back to work when DS was 5 months and pumping murdered me. i HATED it! i aslo found BFing harder the 2nd time around b.c i had another child to look after too.

I am a SAHM and EBFd DS for 14/15 months when I weaned.

My short term goal is 6 months with the twins. Long term goal 1 year.

SAHM; I EBF Charlie for 26 months. I plan on nursing #2 the same way...meaning we will self-wean together.

I'm a PTWM and EBF DD, she's 21 mos. I never planned on nursing DD this long but am so happy I have. I figured 3 mos, then I switched to 6 mos then a year. I tried weaning at 12 mos but neither of us were ready. I had in my head that I couldn't bf a LO with teeth. DD is so good with not biting, she just doesn't do it.

I wouldn't be able to EBF if I worked FT. I was barely able to pump enough for the hours that I was away. It ws very stressful but luckily we got through it.

I hope I can do the same with our next LO.

DD is BF'ed. She is 11months old. I plan on BF'ing until she's 18months (if we make it). I am a SAHM.

DD - EBF for year 1, then she continued to BF until she turned 3 and I was pregnant with DS.

DS - Is 19 months and he is still BF.

Neither kid took formula and as I am a WAHM I BF them instead of pumping so no bottles in our house.

just after 12 months and she had frozen BM exclusively for a few months after that. Even now at 17 months she gets an occasional cup of frozen BM. She's never had formula.

I am currently a SAHM with some out of the home work once in awhile. DD is 1 year old and still BFing. She was EBFed her whole first year.

my first dd i bf for 11 1/2 months she was on whole milk fully. So far with this dd she will be 3 months on sat and i plan on going till a year.

Stopped @ 12.5mths with both my girls. Worked part time with both and pummped the days I worked, never supplemented.
