How many obgyns are in the practice you go to?

My current practice has only 2.

I am looking for a new practice. Just curious how many doctors are in everyone else's obgyn's office.

I think I've been severely limiting myself because I wanted to have a female obgyn. I decided to be open to males now.

I have 7. There are only 1 or 2 males. I haven't met the male doctors in the practice yet.

6 or 7... I have to see all of them at some point during my pregnancy. I don't think I will though as I've only seen my Dr. up until now. My next two visits are with 2 of the other doctors, but once I'm in my 3rd trimester, my Dr. wants me to see only her.

My practice consists of 4 female drs. They work on a rotating basis for deliveries ensuring that you're never cancelled on or postponed. Only thing is you're not guaranteed your specific dr. is going to deliver your baby. What they do is encourage you in later appts to meet with the other drs. So for instance starting in your 30s weeks you'll see one dr one appt, another for the next app and so on, and then go back to your dr at the end. They all communicate openly, I really like this method. This is also helps because if you end having to have a scheduled delivery, you can pick a certain day depending on what dr. is on duty that day (if you choose). I've been seeing my obgyn for years and even though I know there's no guarantee she'll deliver my baby, there was no way I was switching to another practice as I like and value her care, and I'm confident in all the other drs she works with.

I'm in the city, otherwise I'd recommend them to you.

I think there are like 10 doctors or so at Suffolk OB-not all are OB's, but there are a lot of doctors to see.

I began seeing one of the woman doctors, but now prefer the male doctors. They are more gentle, and seemed more concerned if I have questions.

Mine used to have 5, but now has 3.

Only 3, and they are all women.

Just one, it's his own private practice and I love him.

Two midwives. I couldn't see myself being in a practice where you saw more than 3 people. For my comfort I need to establish a good relationship with all my providers to feel comfortable having them deliver my baby.

There are currently 3 doctors in the practice. Two just dropped OB and are strictly GYN. One does both. All are males. They are bringing in a female doctor and have a link to another practice for back up.

I think it is important to have multiple people in a practice in the event that your doctor is not available. Guess what, mine wasn't when I delivered Abby. He had been on vacation but when his back up called him, he whisked in and they BOTH performed my emergency c-section. A comprehensive practice with multiple doctors and a back up system is a damn good idea - it surely was in my case.

There are 5. Four deliver, the two are women.

just one. i didn't want it any other way.

there are 2 other docs who can see you during appts if you want, but they don't deliver anymore. i chose not to see them since i knew they wouldn't be delivering me.

it was very important to me to not have a practice with more than 1 doctor

ETA: and he's male i absolutely didn't want a woman under any circumstances

3 midwives in my practice. I see them all. I love that them all communicate really well. I have met 2 so far, I meet the third next week. I love that whenever I call they ALL know my history and what has happened in my pregnancy so far without having to look at my chart

1, just male- I love it, all physical are with him, not a nurse

I have 3....two are males and one is a female. I have to rotate between the three of them.
