How much $$ did it cost you to spay your dog?
My sister just got a dog and I wanted to know what the price ranges were for a L.I vet to get their dog spayed. She has a silky terrier and I do know that the $ can vary by weight.

I did it through FriendsofAnimals.org , you pay them a fee (it was $75 when we got Misty almost 4 years ago) and use a vet that is one of "their" vets. All you have to pay additionally is meds and anesthesia. I think the total cost was $200....as opposed to quotes of anywhere from $300 - $500 for a regular spaying.
BTW, I still use the recommended vet, I love them!

My dog weighs 3 pounds and I paid 392.60.
This included ..the spay, collar so she wouldn't lick her stitches, blood work, 4 baby teeth pulled and a tooth application to help keep her teeth healthy.
