Re: How much did you spend on your child's first birthday party?
I will probably be spending about $400. We are having it at home with immediate family and a few friends only...
I would've done something bigger, but DH was against it... Like Conigs said, he would rather put the $$$$ towards a vacation or a b-day party that the kid will remember.

Re: How much did you spend on your child's first birthday party?
Probably about $500. We had a small party here at the house. Immediate family. I'd say maybe 20 people. My parents bought the cake from a local bakery. $$$ I now found someone else who does an even better job and is a lot more reasonable.
My DDs 1st bday will probably be about the same. We may have a few more people because it's May and we can be outdoors, but, im not going crazy!
We'll have it catered (heros, salads, and a pasta dish)...Cake.

About 1K and that was at a catering facility for about 50 people. It was appetizers and lunch, I bought the cake, which was part of that 1K, but there was no alcohol.

Re: How much did you spend on your child's first birthday party?
Spent about $100. We had DH's parents/sister and a few close friends over at our house. We ordered pizza, salad, wings. Even though we could have spent more, I really didn't feel the need to have a big party for 1st birthday. We rather wait til DC is old enough to remember to spend big bucks on a party.
