$0 Even when we add the baby there is no out of pocket cost, except for $10 copays.

$0 out of DH's check. $15 copays. (Almost) all prescriptions covered in full.
Sometimes we end up having to pay a little out of pocket for certain lab bills but thats it.

OMG some of u are so lucky to pay $0!
I pay $500 a month. $40 co-pays. $250 for ER visits. $500 for hospital stays. $5000 deductable for out-of-network.

We pay just over $6700 just for the two of us! My company pays for me in full but not a dime for DH.

$140 a month( $1,700 a year) for family plan.
work for a very large global company.... however it a $7,000 deductible plan  so basically if you get pregnant your footing that money out over one or two years.

DH just got a new job where they pay for the insurance. Co-pays are $30 and Rx is $10. I don't know the deductable stuff though. And he just started June 8, and his coverage starts July 1.

$500/a pay period ($1000 a month) so that is $12,000 a year PLUS the required $2500 a year deductible we must pay before ANY benefits are paid out....
between $2500-5000 there is a they pay 90 you pay 10% bridge..
After 5k they cover everything..
so the minimum we would pay is 12,000 w/o getting sick...
max we can pay out of pocket is 17,000
usually it's about $14,500

some of us pay through the nose for insurance. this is just so wrong on so many levels. Some people have to choose to pay for health insurance over other necessities.

some of us pay through the nose for insurance. this is just so wrong on so many levels. Some people have to choose to pay for health insurance over other necessities.
I was just thinking this!.. going thru the
pages and pages of $$$$$$$ for healthy ins
is outrageous . Honest ppl trying to stay
healthy making a living.
1010 wins reported Ins companies lose avg $670k daily in INSURANCE FRAUD..thats where most of this money is going too.. dr and patients who brake the law!

Right now, for single coverage, it's 1% of my salary. Family coverage is 3% of salary.

We're lucky - we don't pay anything. DH has a civil service job. We have the Empire Plan (government). Our dr copays are $20.
Before I was married, for single coverage I was paying about $150 a month with $45 copays and a $200 prescription deductible.

Oh I agree, its just a staggering amount of $$ how much lost and how much gained.

We were paying over $5K a yr through DH's job. Deductibles for everything, and highcopays $50/$75.
We took the kids off and onto child health plus which we thankfully qualify for, and pay them like $350 a year and DH's is like $2500 now.

We don't pay anything, and we don't have copays.
Prescriptions are $5 if they are generic.
The bad part is that we have to fight with the insurance company to pay all the time. They fight, lose, refuse, to pay almost every bill.
