How much do you spend on office shower gift?
A coworker of mine is pregnant and they are throwing a shower at the office for her. We talk all the time now bc of our pregnancies, but were not friendly before that, and don't talk outside of work.
How much would you spend on a gift? I dont want to spend too much and have her feel obligated to do the same for me, but I dont want to be too cheap.

I'd be fine if it even went up to 40 also. I guess anything under 50 would be fine with me.

at my company we chip in $25 - that includes lunch, cake, and we are usually able to do a $200-250 gc and around a $75 basket of goodies

I think $25 is a good amount, you can get so many outfits or onesies at carters for that price and it's a nice gift.

in my office everyone chips in misc amounts to go towards a gift card. I usually do $20. If you are actually buying a gift i'd do something in the $25-$40 range.

we do $20/each and the womans boss/manager usually pays for food/decorations. We don't go crazy wtih that. Basically all the $ employees give goes towards the gift.

yeah there is usually 25-30 people who attend the shower

In my office we usually all chip in about $20 towards a gift card. At my coworker's baby shower she was given a $1000 BRU gift card!!

wow you guys chip in a lot....at my office they usually just ask for about $5pp and use it to get a gift card. then whoever's boss it is usually picks up a cake and decorations
