DS drinks 4 bottles a day with 5oz in each. We've started the transition to regular milk already so as of right now each bottle has 3oz of formula and 2 ozs of milk (those #s will flip tomorrow cause i do the increases on mondays...but i digress). Lately hes just not interested in his bottles at all. Just wants food or water from his sippy. He'll drink 3 of the 5ozs in the bottle. Do you think he notices a difference in taste since theres milk now?? Once hes fully on milk in a few weeks will he NEED to drink it all the time like the formula???

Since you are gradually decreasing the formula and increasing the milk I'm sure by the time he's off formula he will be adjusted. You can take your time with it too, he doesn't need to be on Milk fully by a year - there is no problem with waiting a few weeks if you don't feel he's ready.

I do believe that Whole Milk is recommended - a certain number of ounces a day. I believe the minimum was 16 (double check with your ped though)

ETA: Right now Tyler has 28 ounces of formula a day

DD is 1 on the 22nd. we give her 3 bottles now....8oz half formula and half milk...she only drinks about 6 oz usually of it....we have been doing this for a few weeks now..and only using formula still b/c we have it...by the end of the week she will be on all milk. Once that happens we will give her 2 bottles only, one in AM and one in PM then milk during the day in a sippy but will try to do away with the actual bottle mid day...the night bottle will be the last to go...and this will not be done all by 1 year...I think you have to do what is good for you.

Maybe 20 ozs total. We are starting the transition in like 2 weeks. Right after their 1st birthday. I started sooner with DS but both girls have milk issues.
