How much formula vs. food for 10 mo old?

I want to make sure I am giving my DS enough solid food vs. formula. The more formula DS gets the less food he will eat so I am wondering if I should cut back.

How many ounces of:
veggies?
fruit?
dairy (yogur)?
protein (meats/eggs)?

Does your DC typically eat?

DS is currently drinking b/w 21-24 ounces of formula per day and he eats three meals - about 1/2 yogurt and 1-4 ounces of fruit for breakfast (or cereal with the fruit). Lunch is meat, veggie fruit probably about 5-7oz combined and dinner is meat and veggie probably about 4-6 oz combined...

Re: How much formula vs. food for 10 mo old?

Breakfast: 3 oz of cereal and a stage 2 fruit

Lunch: A Yo baby yogurt or a stage 2 veggie or a stage 2 fruitmix. Depends on the day. Puffs after

Dinner: a stage 2 dinner (starting to intro some stage 3). Plus a veggie or a fruit or a dessert. Puffs after

I am introducing stage 3 fruits so the intake will be higher

ETA..DS is 9 1/2 mos and still drinks about 23-25 oz of formula

DS is 10 1/2 months old. I don't know how much he eats in oz but i can give you a sample meal of a day

Breakfast
6-8oz water/juice
1 egg w/ cheese
handful of Cheerios or kix
fruit

6oz formula

Nap

Lunch
6-8oz of whole milk
LeCreme Yogurt (the whole thing)
Lunchable (meat/cheese/cracker)

6oz Formula

Nap

Dinner
4-6oz water/juice
3 raviolis
handful of vegis
1 turkey meatball
fruit

4-6oz Formula

If he snacks or desert its puffs, ice-cream, Jello, Pudding, cookies and other stuff

he usually gets 1 snack and 1 desert a day

Re: How much formula vs. food for 10 mo old?

i started him on table food at 7 months.. and ever since then he has turned his nose up at baby food, so for 1 whole month he ate baby food and every since then its been whatever mommy & daddy eats.

i lucked out that he isnt a picky eater... but give it time, some babies really dont start eating table food (no baby food) until they are a year, year and half old.

good luck, but watch for the sodium levels in pre-packaged meals.

lunchables have 540mg of sodium, so he gets maybe 3 a week.
