How much to spend on bday gift?
DD is invited to her first kid's birthday party. It's a coworker of DH's 4 year old son. How much do people usually spend on a gift? I've never done this before! TIA!

Depends on how close we are to the family.
Good friends/Family $50-$100 ($100-200 for fancy 1st birthday parties)
New Friends $25-50
Classmates/Acquaintances $10-20
We don't get invited to many coworker's parties but I usually gift ~$50 for the ones we do get invited to.
I've been gifting kid cameras a lot for the 3-4yo set. They cost around $40.
