If you have natural stone in your bathrooms or kitchens (mable, granite, etc) how often do you seal it? Do you seal it at all?

We sealed our bathroom tile (marble) as soon as we finished the renovation and before we used the room. The sealant we used said on the bottle that it was protected for 10 years but I know you should seal more often than every ten years especially if the space is heavily used.

Some people have told us moving forward it will need to be sealed once a year to ensure protection against wear & tear, others are saying every 4 months. Thoughts?

We've gotten different answers from every tile place we've called as well.
