How old was your DC when you dropped the crib down to the lowest level?

DD is making me nervous.
She can sit up now from a laying position- can't stand or pull herself up- YET.
But I feel like it's time to lower it all the way.

I am just paranoid that she will figure out how to pull herself up and fall out of the crib. I haven't been sleeping well worrying about it.
I keep checking the monitor.
Last night I saw her sitting up and freaked out.

Our crib had three settings. We lowered to the middle one shortly after she could roll over.

We lowered to the lowest one after the 1st time we saw her pull herself up (which was at 6 months)

Re: How old was your DC when you dropped the crib down to the lowest level?

do it now!

DS learned to pull up, as soon as he was to sit without support for long periods, he was 6m.

He didn't figure out how to get from laying down to sitting, but if propped sitting, he'd grab something and he'd pull up. At 6m we thought it would happen any day, that he'd go from laying to sitting and pull up.
Instead he decided to go from laying, to climbing up the crib slats to standing. Chat Icon

DD is ten months and we just lowered it two levels yesterday. She has been able to sit up since 6 months, but never did it in the crib. Then this week she started standing up.

It is on the second to lowest level right now and when she stands the crib rail is at her chin.

We're doing it tonight. 7 months. DD can't pull up from lying down and can't get to sitting up yet, but she's pulling on the bumpers and it's only a matter of time. I just don't know how we're gonna reach her when she's so far down!

We went to the ped last week for the 5 month visit (DS will be 6 months on Thursday) and we didn't even ask but she said lower it to the lowest setting and take out the bumpers now

OK I just told DH to do it today when he gets home from work.
I am not going to lose anymore sleep - I sleep bad enough as it is with her!

She has gotten so scary mobile lately it freaks me out- and it happens like overnight!

Thanks all!

I think we did it around 6 months when he was sitting on his own - we just lowered it all of the way then instead of to the middle setting.

I have this issue. Not only am I short but now I have this massive belly in the way. I literally roll Emerson out of my arms and she plops on the mattress and rolls all over haha but she's awake when i put her down.

I think we will do this so we don't have to do it all over again in a few months.
I'm pretty tall so I should be ok with getting her in and out!

we have 3 settings and when DD started sitting up in the crib (7 months) we dropped it. 2 weeks later we found her standing and dropped it again.
