Don't load up so much on fruits and veggies. You're only supposed to still have 6 servings of fruits and veggies (a serving of fruit is 1/2 cup).

Make sure you get in dairy, healthy oils, etc.

One thing WW doesn't really push as much as they should (although they should) is eating a WELL BALANCED diet! Yes, bread is alot of points but its good to get some whole grain in there. Also lean meats are good too (chicken, turkey, etc). Yogurt is good for getting in protein and dairy.

I used to always go by the points..but now I try to make sure I'm eating well balanced meals too!

thanks, thats great advice! You're right about the balanced diet.. that's why I always felt like WW was flawed before. I love howthey've changed the prgram to encourage more healthy eating.
I follow the former 8healthy guidleines and I've only eaten 4 servings of fruit/veggies so far.. 2 servings of dairy, 2 servings of whole grain and 3 servings of lean protein. So I havent gone overboard in the f/v deparmtnet

I drink A LOT of h2o normally so thats no change... I think my body was just used to eating sugar and processed foods for the past few months that it's in shock right now lol!

The 9 good health guidelines (which are still an integral part of the program - check out pages 60-65 in your getting started book) are meant to help you eat a well balanced diet everyday. If you make sure you get all of these in, plus a few of your fav foods, you should hit 29 points pretty easily.

It's a whole new formula. You'd either have to sign up online or go to a meeting.
