Re: How would you respond to this?
We waited a long time to have our first LO and for a time I was on the fence about even having one, so now that I'm pregnant, I've actually had a few people ask me if it was planned.
I'm very outspoken, but I just say yes, it was planned, because anything else would just come out way too nasty.
I'm floored by the stupidity and/or the nerve of people.

Re: How would you respond to this?
I read everyone's responses...people are just so disgusting Anyway, this pregnancy was planned...we did whatever happens, happens and it happened however when people ask me that question, I cant even bring myself to tell them yes because I don't want to give them the satisfaction of an answer It just amazes me what information people think that they are entitled to

Re: How would you respond to this?
We got pg with DD (INTENTIONALLY) 2 months after we got married. We both have good paying, stable jobs and owned a home. I was shocked when people were asking us if this was "planned"!
Now that DD is 16 months and I'm telling people that we've expecting #2 (again, intentionally) I've had some ask if it was planned. I think some people are just beyond nosey and have no clue as to what is an acceptable and polite question.

i think alot of people expect people stop at 2 kids.......

My FIL asked me this (and this is only our second). I told him that it wasn't, but I've heard a lot of sad stories in the past few years, and I feel lucky to have one healthy DD and another one on the way. It shut him up pretty effectively.
I HATE this question... but have a couple of answers if you're in a b!tchy mood:
1) No. Are you going to take back your congratulations now?
2) Yes, it was... by G-d.
3) Yes. After a few more, we want our own reality show!
have I told you lately that I love you

Re: How would you respond to this?
I can't take credit for #2 and 3... other friends of ours came up with those. I totally admit to using #3 on a Target cashier recently though.

Re: How would you respond to this?
Not mr, but my dh's cousin got pg with #2. It was soon after their first, but I never said a word about her.
Her mil, dh's aunt, told everyone that it was an "oops baby.". I thought that was the rudest thing. I would never ask anybody if they were having an "oops baby."
