HR people - advise/question
When hiring someone new, if you put someone thru a second round of interviews and then the next day send an email asking for 3 professional references, is this just part of the cycle or are you hiring this person?
basically
what is the percentage you are going to hire this person?

(i have been out of work for some time and am really hoping to get this job - thanks)

Where I work, if you make it up to that, we plan to hire you.
And I believe we've only needed 2 refs, but ask for 3 as it ups the chances we get the 2.

i know that 2 of the 3 were rave reviews (as they sent me a copy of the email that they replied to) i am sure the 3rd is the same.
I guess i will keep my fingers crossed and hope to hear something soon..

i have been asked for references twice and both times i got the job. A very, very good sign.
