Huntington Medical Group Pediatricians?
Does anyone have a pediatrician at HMG that they recommend? I would like to set up a meeting with them but I think there are 6 of them in the practice?

If you do a search on him (Dr. James Cavanagh), you can see a lot of raves.

If you do a search on him (Dr. James Cavanagh), you can see a lot of raves.
 I did see all the raves about Dr. Cavanagh and he is definitely first on my list of who to talk to! Is there anyone else in the practice? Dr. Siev came to speak at a pregnancy class I went to and he seemed very nice as well.
Edited: Okay, so this is going to sound silly, so what exactly do you do? You meet with them, and then when you decide how does it happen? You just say I want you for my DC's pediatrician and then you fill out paperwork or something? I'm not exactly sure how to go about this, lol.

Dr. Cavanagh is the bomb. He will give you his Spiel, and tell you what you need to do. I think you just say you want him, and then he checks in with you after the baby is born!

The others are great too. I like McDonough, Siev & Siddiqui.
You tell them that you'd like to use them as your pediatrician. They'll ask your due date, etc. When you have the baby, the delivery staff asks if you've chosen your child's pediatrician & notify him that you gave birth. Then he'll stop by in the hospital & give you the run down on the baby.

From my experience,they really know what to share with you. They will tell you about the practice, hours, etc. They will tell you to call them when you have the baby and if they have rights at the hospital, someone will come visit you. They will tell you to call for an appointment right after the baby is born to set up the first "well" visit. They will give you a list of items they recommend that you have in the house prior to giving birth...such as a rectal thermometer, Fever All, etc.
