Hypothyroidism

Just wondering if anyone has experienced hair loss due to hypothyroidism and if so what have you done to help reduce the hair loss? My meds increased almost a month ago.

Also I'm in desperate need of a hair cut and hair coloring but I'm nervous since my hair seems to fall out when it's wet from taking a shower....I don't know if coloring my hair is going to make it worse...

my endo told me hair loss has nothing to do with hypothyroidism... i thought mine would get better... and when i mentioned it to him he said it was a myth...

i havent found anything else that helps

I had hair loss as well. My doctor said she thought it could be do to a combo of the hypthyroidism and my severe anemia. She increased both a little and the hair loss has stopped.

hair loss is a symptom. i dont think its gets better once on meds. it did not for me.
